Wonderful Hiking Area of Hoch-Imst
The region surrounding the Imster Bergbahnen lifts offers many hikes in unique surroundings. Relaxing strolls through the forests and meadows, adventurous family excursions and demanding mountaineering tours in high-alpine terrain can be enjoyed in Hoch-Imst.
The 3-Huts-Tour is a must for hiking enthusiasts: The two double chairlifts comfortably bring you from the Hoch-Imst base station to Alpjoch at an altitude of 2,050m. From there the slightly descending Drischlsteig trail leads you down to Muttekopfhütte in 30 minutes.
After a break you climb downhill to Latschenhütte hut, where tired hikers can enjoy an authentic “Hüttenschmarrn” (shredded pancakes with sugar) as a reward. Along the wild-romantic Jägersteig trail you get to Untermarkter Alm in about 45 minutes. And then it gets racy again: The Alpine Coaster brings all adrenaline junkies back to the valley!
