WELCOME TO THE HOCH-IMST FAMILY SKI AREA

Small, but nice is the motto of the Hoch-Imst family ski area in the Tyrol. On skies or with your snowboard: the gentle slopes, the clearly visible  terrain and the generous practice slope are perfect for first attempts for the  young and older winter sports novices. Ambitious skiers also get full value: On the Alpjoch, section II of the Imster Bergbahnen, you enjoy not only a dreamlike view but can tackle one or the other “black piste gem”. Quaint huts are ideal for a relaxing break stop and entice bon vivants for longer breaks while enjoying homemade delicacies on the sun terraces.

Since the start of this season, uphill transport has been particularly convenient, safe and comfortable thanks to our new and state-of-the-art 10-seater panorama gondola lifts.

In the Hoch-Imst family ski area you can do almost everything, but you don't have to!

Fancy some action? In addition to the all-year open Alpine Coaster, there are two natural toboggan runs which promise speedy thrills on your way down into the valley. The mood is particularly good on Wednesdays and Saturdays, when you can choose between moonshine or floodlight. Then one of the longest floodlit pistes in the Tyrol is open as well as the huts, where you can warm up and take a break until late into the night.

The region offers plenty in addition to pistes and toboggan runs. There is hardly a winter sport that cannot be pursued in Hoch-Imst. There is a cross-country skiing track, an ice rink and sheer unlimited possibilities for ski mountaineering, snowshoe hiking and winter hiking.

You can, but you don't have to - in the Hoch-Imst family ski area!

IN THE Winter

In the Summer

Welcome in the Hoch-Imst ski and hiking region with the Alpine Coaster Imst

The family-friendly Hoch-Imst region in the Tyrol is a rewarding destination excursion destination for families and pleasure seekers, both in the summer as well as the winter. The highlight is doubtlessly the Alpine Coaster Imst, the on-track toboggan run which is open all year. You can get to the Imster Bergbahnen in an environmentally friendly way by taking the ski or hiking bus. If you want to get there by car, there are two large car parks. Just around the corner, there are the first  two highlights and insider tips: the bathing lake and the Family Park. You can get up the mountain in a sporty fashion using your own muscle power or comfortably and conveniently by taking the new, spacious 10-seater panorama gondola lift.

Hiking, biking, trail running, orienteering and climbing are among the most popular activities in the summer and can also be tackled by families from the grandchildren to the grandparents. Quaint huts are ideal for taking a break and enjoying culinary delicacies. The crowning finish: a ride with the legendary Alpine Coaster Imst, the world’s longest alpine roller coaster. Once the mountains and the treetops are covered in white, the two natural toboggan runs are serious contenders for the fastest downhill run. Just like one of the longest floodlit pistes in the Tyrol, the toboggan runs are also open in the evening on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Ski mountaineers, winter hikers, cross-country skiers and ice skating fans too find opportunities in Hoch-Imst.

Summer or winter: enjoyment at your own pace comes first with the Imster Bergbahnen!
