A "mountain lift rescue operation in the case of a technical breakdown" was scheduled at the Imst Mountain Rescue last autumn. Theory lessons on material knowledge and rescue systems in the morning were followed by an emergency training directly at Alpjochbahn in Hoch-Imst in the afternoon. 26 participants in four groups practiced a rescue operation on the rope and even resisted the tough winter weather. "In an emergency, a quick and precise process is of utmost importance, every move has to be spot-on. Therefore regular training in theory and practice are of great importance," explains Bernhard Senn, Training Manager of the local mountain rescue team in Imst.
