The hiking region Hoch-Imst is full of places that lend you power and energy, or just bring pure joy to your soul because of its forceful and natural beauty.

The Seebrig region

The beautiful Seebrig region is located just above and to the west of the Muttekopf hut. In the middle of a basin is a charming little lake that is surrounded by a cottongrass moor. This area is traditionally used for sheep grazing in the summer.

The Rosengarten gorge

The "gorge of the rose garden" is truly one of Mother Nature's masterpieces. The landscape has been pierced by the elements for millennia, creating steep walls of rock on both sides of the gushing water and a rich fauna in the middle. Begin the tour from the center of Imst and discover the romantic landscape along the ravine.

Directions
to the powerful & wildly romantic places

  • While the start of the Rosengarten Gorge begins right in the center of Imst, you reach the Seebrig region comfortably with the Imster Bergbahnen chair lifts and about one hour hike.
