3-Huts-Tour

A one-day excursion for the whole family

This culinary and scenically rewarding family hike starts with a first highlight: the uphill ride with the spacious 10-seater gondola of the new monocable lift. From the Hoch-Imst valley station you float conveniently to the Alpjoch at an altitude of 2.050m. From there you walk along the Drischlsteig path downhill to get to the Muttekopfhütte after about 30 minutes.

After an extensive break, you walk down past the Latschenhütte (60 – 90 minutes) and along the wild-romantic Jägersteig path to the Untermarkter Alm (45 minutes). From there it gets racy: you and your offspring can take the Alpine Coaster to whiz down into the valley as a reward.

Walking time: 2 – 3 hours
With lift ride and break stop: 4 – 6 hours
Route length: 7.5 kilometers

along the JÄGERSTEIG to the Latschenhütte

for families and bon vivants

The entertaining hike from the middle station to the Latschenhütte and back is technically and physically not very demanding and therefore highly recommended for families, senior citizens, and leisure hikers. The Jägersteig (German for hunter's path) - the entrance to which is marked by a large wooden eagle - and the meadows around the hut, offer plenty of space for imaginative play in the midst of nature. Meanwhile, hut hostess Waltraud takes care of the physical well-being of the hungry guests.

TIP: You can already spot the wooden eagle from the bridge. Before crossing the brook, keep left so that you don't miss the magical path!

Walking time: approx. 1.5 hours
With lift ride and break stops: approx. 3 – 4 hours
