The pasture zoo in the Hoch-Imst hiking region is not only home to numerous friendly animals, but it's a special highlight on an excursion with kids in Tyrol.
Located right at the Obermarkter Alm pasture, the destination of your next family hike can be easily reached using the existing hiking trails.
SAFETY FIRST There are elevations around the enclosures to ensure that toddlers will also have their fun!
GETTING TO THE PASTURE ZOO
- 30 minutes from the mid-station of the Imster Bergbahnen
- 10 minutes downhill from the Latschenhütte
- on a 1.5 hour hike along the Opferstockweg trail starting from Hoch-Imst
HIKING TIP
With the new, spacious and comfortable cable car in Hoch-Imst, you together with bag and baggage will conveniently float towards the mid-station and enjoy great views all the way. The sun terrace at the UAlm is perfect to stop and enjoy a first break, before heading to the Latschenhütte along the barrier-free Jägersteig path. The pasture zoo there is the highlight for the youngest hikers. After extensive petting and playing with the animals, the same route takes you back. Finally, a ride on the Alpine Coaster will bring you back down into the valley.
