Details and win

Place of power - Muttekopf area

Mainly located above the treeline and marked by dwarf shrub heaths, meadows with a profusion of flowers, scree fields and cushion plants, is the Muttekopf area. The area's fertile grounds on marls and sandstone support a species-rich flora. In the Seebrieg area there is a particularly powerful place: In the centre of a hollow, an extensive cotton grass marsh has developed around a small lake. In the summer, sheep graze here, while ibexes can often be seen in the rocks of the Muttekar.

Natural gem -  Rosengarten gorge

Wild and of pristine beauty – the Rosengarten gorge in Imst gives young and old explorers impressive insights into a fantastic landscape shaped by white water.

TIP The starting point for this hike is only a few steps from the centre of the small town of Imst.
