HOCH-Imst TOBOGGANING PARADISE

On our two natural toboggan runs you can speedily race down from the Hoch-Imst ski area into the valley on a 10km-long run also at night. Even until two o’clock in the morning!

The four-kilometre-long Untermarkter Alm toboggan run starts right at the mid-station. It’s up to you whether you take the lift or hike uphill. On Wednesday, Fridays and Saturdays the run is floodlit.

A leisurely 30-minute hike brings you from the Imster Bergbahnen mid-station to the Obermarkter Alm toboggan run. After recharging at the Latschenhütte , you whiz down the track, which winds its way down into the valley over six kilometres. If you like moonshine tobogganing, you shouldn’t forget to bring your headlights!

Suitable equipment is available at the ski rental at the valley station.

NIGHT SKI MOUNTAINEERING TOUR*

In Hoch-Imst darkness is the friend of winter sports enthusiasts. Also of ski mountaineers.

Every Wednesday evening the Ursprungweg trail, which is lit by torches, is a delight to ascend on touring skis or snowshoes.

On Friday evenings the floodlit ski piste can be exclusively used by ski mountaineers.

At the Untermarkter Alm or the Latschenhütte you can warm-up in-between.

*Please note the current opening times and the snow conditions!
