Winter Walks

Winter hiking in
Hoch-Imst

You’re mistaken if you think that hiking is only for the summer holidays in Hoch-Imst. Especially when hiking in the winter, there is a lot to discover: deeply snow-covered forests, mirror-smooth frozen lakes and picturesque glittering fairytale worlds.

Nuireith TOUR

This entertaining winter walk starts at the Hoch-Imst winter park and leads along the edge of the forest on the Nuireith meadow without any notable climbs back to the starting point. A real leisure hike.

  • Walking time approx. 1 hour
  • Length 1.2 kilometers
  • Not suitable for prams or toboggans

LINSERhof and back

The family-friendly forest hike leads mostly level from Hoch-Imst to Linserhof and back. Alternatively, you can hike to Rastbühel and take the bus back to Imst. With children it is recommended to have a toboggan with you to master the downhill stretches faster and with more fun.

  • Walking time approx. 2 hours
  • Length 12 kilometers

hiking tip

Particularly beautiful scenic views can be enjoyed on a hike from Hoch-Imst via the Obermarkter Alm toboggan run to the Latschenhütte. Shortened by a comfortable ascent with the new panorama gondola to the middle station, the hike is a real leisure walk. Either way: Don't forget your toboggan! Because you can go downhill a little faster!

TIP: The toboggan rental at the valley station has the appropriate equipment ready.

AFTER HIKING IS BEFORE ...?

Ski mountaineering tours or snowshoe hikes in Tyrol are at least as rewarding and an equally impressive nature experience. The family-friendly ski area Hoch-Imst inspires with many easy, yet scenically impressive routes. Do you fancy more adrenaline? How about a ride on a jaunty toboggan ride?
