A meeting point for the whole family... The large, flat and sunny practice slope complete with button lift just next to the bottom station offers ample space for little (and not so little) beginners to practice their skiing skills. There is also extra space for tobogganing, sledging or simply soaking up the sun. The ski schools also have a park for children to play in. This is also the starting point for the cross-country ski run and winter hiking trails, as well as the end station of the natural toboggan run. Each family member has the option to do what they love, and thanks to the short distances between the activity stations, you're never far away from one another.
There is also a range of activities on offer off-piste: The Imst Alpine Coaster - a very unique toboggan run and the longest mountain roller coaster in the world - invites you to a rapid ride through the mountains in a series of ups and downs, bends and jumps. The Alpine Coaster, which runs on sleds rather than tracks, follows two natural toboggan runs, starting at Latschenhütte or Untermarkter Alm, each heading in the same direction: Downhill. Meanwhile on the slopes, children have priority when skiing: As part of children's ski week, we offer free skiing lessons for children between the ages of 3 and 7.
The family-friendly skiing resort at Hoch-Imst proves that learning to ski can be fun without costing the earth. As part of children's ski week, the tourist office of Imst offers free skiing lessons for children between the ages of 3 and 6.
